Santina's Heart

Here's A Thought
Yesterday is in the past, tomorrow has not yet come. Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.

Expand your horizons! Try something new. Learn to cook a new food, take an art or music class, visit a church of another denomination. You'll learn something new and you'll probably make some new friends.

Everyone has a creative side. You just have to find your outlet.

A little about me
I have four sons and many nephews and nieces. They are the inspiration behind much of my work. Through my artwork, I hope to bring joy to others and to reflect the awe I have for God's creation.

My favorite subjects are people, especially children. I also enjoy painting birds, and use a variety of media including acrylic paint, colored pencils, and cut paper collage.

Currently, I'm having a lot of fun with watercolors. I see art as a way to express ideas and convey feelings - such as a child's innocence and wonder.

I am an artist who resides in the Warren, Ohio area. As far back as I can remember, creating art has been one of my favorite things. I also have a degree in elementary education. For fourteen years I taught in New Jersey. After moving to the D.C. area, I gave art lessons in my home. I've been back in Ohio for two and a half years. Now I'm once again attending Youngstown State University, where I'm pursuing a Fine Arts degree.

A painting of mine was part of the
"Mona Lisa Mosaic Masterpiece", which is a mosaic of 70 individual paintings and drawings that collectively make up a rendition of The Mona Lisa. Have a look here.
